I did day before dressage at Moreton which i always enjoy cos the warm up is so much quieter and it suits my boys hot temperament. He did a lovely soft calm test and scored 29 which i was really chuffed with.
Up early this morning and he jumped a super SJ round over what i thought was quite a small course. Onto XC and he started warming up like a beach donkey
then all of a sudden the light came on
He bucked and leapt around leaving me with heck of a job to get him into the start box! Once he was off he flew, just had one hiccup where he spooked at a plant in front of a fence
(Yes he is a bit of an idiot!) I made him jump it on an angle from a stand still i was so cross
The rest of the course he was fab. We finished with 4.4 time and ended the day 8th so i was delighted for the first one of the season.
A few more at intro then i will be brave and move up to prenovice
The ground was fantastic and rode really well. I also met Buster123 for the first time. Always nice to put a face to a name.
One person was airlifted off the ground but im not sure what happened so hopefully they are ok.
All in all a good day. Cant wait for Larkhill now, anyone else going there?
