the clippers themselves are 8 years old they have been regularly serviced (including last year dispite only doing 1 blanket clip) and the blades have been sharpened

the reason i got them serviced last year was because they were making a lot of noise and were vibrating a lot. i havent dropped them in the time i have had them although a couple winters back i dropped the battery pack (could it be that) the people who serviced them said there was no problem with them and that they are fine but they are still making a terrible racket!

i dont think they will complete a clip with the noise they are making and also the whole reason i bought them was because they were quiet! not so much now...

my step dad took them apart and checked inside cleaned out the hair in them and the filters as well as around the motors and where the plastic bit moves side to side (if you know whati mean the bit that moves the blades) but they are still making a huge amount of noise and im kind of afraid they are dying :( i cant really afford to replace them and i dont really want to at the price they are but they are such good clippers

hopefully (fingers crossed) i shouldnt be clipping anyone this year but it still doesnt solve my problem!

so does anyone know what could be the problem with them or is it just a age thing? is 8 years old, old?

thank you for any replies!
