Not for your usual occupant. I need to collect a billy goat in my trailer next week and I don't want it totally ruined 😂
I'm hoping a good thick bed followed by a pressure wash might get rid of the worst of the smell. Any advice on the most absorbent bedding? Definitely not straw - and I don't have any yet. Lfs usually has Snoflake, Aubiose and sometimes Easibed. Though it may not matter that much I suppose, my trailer is gonna stink to high heaven whatever I use.

I have no idea about boy goat smell removal but you could consider putting a tarp down (suitably grippy one!). We had female sheep in our trailer for a few days (living in it as a stable!) and that was fine. I think I’d just use no bedding assuming it’s a decent floor and pressure wash it out after, the cost of a decent bed is too upsetting!

Plain soft wood sawdust from a sawmill is the most absorbent bedding & for the amount you need it will probably free or may be a couple of pounds for a bag.

Agree sawdust, it absorbs immediately and is cheap. I like the tarp plus bedding idea. Or do you know anyone with a large dog cage? Keep him a bit more contained and just put old towels under it?

I would recommend wood pellets wetted down to expand to dust. I use this in my box for my horse after finding shavings not that useful to avoid liquid from poos making it to the floor and being a pain to remove

Problem solved I know, but I case it helps anyone else - when it comes to cleaning after you've had to house a stinky beast - a strong solution of soda crystals in warm water to sluice the area down really breaks up the smell. Good for tom cat wee and so on....
