Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm. Max size 61x46x46 will do most saddles.

You know it's got there the next day, £500 insurance is included.

I've happily used Hermes but they can take a week, and they lost my last one :(

Royal Mail or Parcelforce. I know they get slated but they've always been fine for me. MyHermes is okay but not convinced they get looked after that well. You're about £25 now a days and that's tracked and insured.

Royal Mail in general. I also just sent one thru UPS, booked online, dropped off at local shop. Could adjust insurance cover to suit.
I'd ask the seller as we don't exist in Hermes world and numerous parcels from different suppliers have been 'lost' over the last couple of years.

My DH always uses Parcelforce. Every package is tracked and insurance can be selected for the appropriate level required. He has always had a good service from them. They are, like most delivery companies at the moment, extremely busy though!

I have used hermes for years and now only send less expensive items though as I wouldn't trust them with anything worth more than say 40 quid, here is what they did to a box of leather conditioner I sent to a customer then had the cheek to say it was liquid and wasn't covered by terms and conditions. Clearly they knew nothing about my leather conditioner I sell so I showed them the last pic and asked them, "does it look like liquid"?

I have sent loads of conditioner all round the world with no problems other than the royal fail losing them, they are well packed so no excuse for the damage. The box looked like it had been run over. Accidents happen but to just dismiss it as not their problem really got my goat.

DON'T use hermes for saddles, I would never dream of sending one with them.

Hermes coughed up the compensation in full in the end when | threatened them with a small claims case against them stating they have a duty of care whilst goods are in their possession and failed. I use parcel monkey for expensive goods send out now,Oz
