My mum & I were laughing about this the other day when my little cherub was pulling a variety of unpleasant faces getting impatient for his tea.

The most inappropriate name for my horse would be "Cuddles" and my mum's horse would be something like "Titan" or "Chief" as he seems to positively enjoy being bossed around.

So...... do any of your horses actually have utterly inappropriate names for their personalities? If not, what would they be?

Well not inappropriate die to personality but we had a horse called chuzzlewitt who ended up as F**kwitt.... it kinda suited him, he was tbh!

Oh Magnus get's called Maggie all the time! He's a 21year old 16.3hh 3/4 shire GELDING! I don't think he apprechiates being called a girl sometimes (I know he understands!) especially when vistors assume he's a mare!

I had a pony last year for my daughter called Toffee who turned out to be abit of a thug so he was know as "MR T" as that was far more him than sweet old toffee!! and I had a pony years ago called " Westcoat Silver Playboy." I used to scream "PLAYBOY" into the field as a child when I wanted to catch him...god know what people thought about this 6yr old talking about "playboy" all the time !!!

Misty gets called stinky poo. For the obvious reason. She used to be a right dirt bag in the stable. Now she wees in a bucket and poos all in one place. xD so it doesn't really apply but everyone now calls her it.
My 2 year old cousin even calls her stink poo

I once rode a mare at Huntley called 'Nightmare', Carole said not to be put off but she was home bred and when she came out chestnut with 4 white legs the boss said 'what a nightmare' and it stuck - however, she was fantastic.

One of my own has his registered name of Bedazzled shortened to B which I've always thought was for B*****d, but love him to death.

My bay tb (piccy in siggy) is called Bubbles. Not that shes bubbly in any way the stroppy cow

Used to know a chestnut pony whose show name was I'm A Tart. Come to think of it tho it kinda suited her lol.

tallyho_two, the horse I saw would have been around 6 years old in 1998. I think it was dark brown/black. Does it sound like the same one ? Is definately not a good name for a horse when trying to sell.

I think I have a winner. The li'l fuzzy pony in my siggy, referred to as "the spooky pony" on this forum for a very good reason, carries the rather dramatic show monicker of "Kilkenny Highland Warrior".

...he fights for his homeland by, er, spooking, snuffling very very cutely at people, and tugging on their buttons...

My pony has the most appropriate name ever.....Zoom. Very apt for a fizzy, silly, super-fast pony. Monty is always called 'happy' (coz he's a bloody grump!) or The Sh@tbag Wh@re. Not really sure where that came from but it really suits him. Even my dad calls him 'the SBW'.

Well it wasnt inappropriate, in fact it was entirely appropriate - my dad had a horse called Indiana. It was one of the ugliest horses - a big old buckskin with a roman nose and upside down neck. He also had a terrible temper and would attack you if he felt so inclined. He was known as The Sod.

Binky is the name of Death's huge magnificent white stallion in Terry Prachett's Discworld books. My Binky is a little New Forest gelding (he is almost white though), who chews everything in site, dozes off with his head on my shoulder and is generally a total gentleman.

Amber is often called Cowbag, and several other names I dare not repeat.

Jethro is also known as Fat Git- and responds to that better!

Most inappropriate for my mare personalisty wise would be..Mother Teresa. She enjoys casual nooky to much and doesn't care who is watching or where she does it

she's onto her second gentleman friend now. Neither is she soppy, I can hug her for 30 seconds before she tells me to bugger off

I'm sure deep down she loves me...hopefully lol

I used to have a little coloured pony called angel- which is ironic as she was the naughtiest little sh*t I have ever owned.
Oshk is just Oshk, it seems to suit him quite well, although did develop a nickname "plod" with the B&BM for being the speed demon he is- he hates that

I knew of a stallion called Jaffa. Not a great name for a Stallion at stud I thought. Could be the reason its now gelded LOL
