Hoping someone can give me some advice on this. I had to put my veteran gelding on to haylage as he was continually leaving mountains of hay despite trying different supplies. Over the past 6 months the walls of my feed shed (and his stable) have become covered in what I assume are mould spores. I have been feeding a combination of hay and haylage which I mix by tossing into a pile and then pushing into his nets. Whether its the act of breaking the hay and mixing it with the haylage which is causing this mould I really don't know but I wonder if anyone else has come across this? Both the hay and haylage are good quality as we use a supplier who is very trustworthy and is delivering to many yards in my area and who has been delivering my hay for years. Any clues???
