Both my boys have started to moult this week!! Hopefully they know something I don't!! Warmer weather on the way??
My grass is also growing. Usually they would go straight for their hay in the field just after turn out but this morning they have gone straight for the grass!! There was also that unmistakable acidy smell to their poops as well in the stable this morning! Spring is coming .. slowly....

Little B who is like a yak is leaving a trail of hair in the wind as he walks by. They both left some of their hay in the field yesterday to go and nibble at some shoots I couldn't see but they knew they were there. Not long now everyone keep going!

Mine been moulting since December 🙄.

Was also pulled off grass 3 weeks ago. That's despite constant rain and officially no sunshine for 16 days!

It has literally rained or snowed every single day this year, and yet the grass is growing.

I keep seeing Snowdrops popping up everywhere which is giving me a welcome reminder that spring is finally on the way 😍

Horses have started shedding and I keep spying them up the hill grazing rather than stood in the corner of the field in the mud looking glum. It was also still light enough to poo-pick at 5:45pm last night!

Mine are finding grass to nibble but come up for a slice of haylage around lunchtime and then nibble a bit more grass until they come in 6ish. My back garden grass is defo growing as are all spring flowers.
Ridden ones are clipped defo no moulting and sh*tland still has her 25 tog winter duvet on. I can pluck her when she moults!

We're apparently in for a cold snap in next week or so.....

my minis are starting to shed, albeit slowly, the grass is growing, their droppings have taken on a more green colour, and I can see bright green shoots coming through, time to adjust fencing again, although if we are in for a cold snap I might keep an eye and wait a bit
