My girl has just started moulting too, I've told her it's not a good idea as I've checked the weather forecast and it's meant to go down to -14 by the weekend!!
So I want to stick hers back on her, not scrape it off, she'll need it by Thursday!!
I always thought it was temperature dependant, but a fellow owner said she heard somewhere it was to do with the nights getting lighter. Any opinions?!
The rubber curry comb is best, especially if you want to show the pony later, metal ones can cut at the hair leaving blunt ends which will then detract form the shine on the coat later on - if you are a bit of a purist.
My unclipped one is moulting like mad at the moment too (but she does have a rug on)
i wish mine would molt quicker as she is still moulting in september then grows her winter coat again i am thinking of cheating this year and clipping her insted
Connemara--shed a bucketful last weekend, I just kept combing and it just kept coming out
Sure his wires are crossed the forecast is for snow tomorrow
I usually cheat and clip him but need a nice day for that, then put heavy rug on.
