Sparky has been moulting for some time now...I have been curry cobing him most days and today gave him a bath (he gets VERY cold!) and shampood and cirry combed but he is STILL incredibly hairy

Any ways to help him along?

I've got a grooming block - it's a sort of big pumice stone thing, but my mare is now living out ready for running with the stallion, and when I went to see her in the field today all I had was my fingers.

What a good job fingers do at removing moulting hair, and my horse was loving it! If you massage the body and neck in a small circular motion with the tips of all your fingers, the loose hair just falls out, and my horse was leaning into the sensation with her eyes half closed and ears right forward!

turn out 24/7.....as the cycle of "moulting" is due to daylight hours....if kept in at night, do so rugless and leave the light on..
