My welsh A has changed colour! He has grown quite a considerable winter coat already and changed from blue roan to white!

He is only 3 - do you think he knows something we don't!!!

Possibly...the long range forecast for winter does not look good...rather like last year in fact...snow and lots of it. Perhaps your horse is very sensible.

My two have been losing their summer coats for a week or two, although not got to the stage where I can visibly see any difference. Hope they don't get too hairy yet as there's still plenty of time for a heatwave.

Yep my section a is moulting like mad, got showing championships mid-september and need a lovely summer coat for them. Starting rugging in the hope it will slow it down.

My boy is too. Its unusual for him as hes normally late to lose it and late to get it.
Pleaaase dont let it mean we are in for a horrendous winter :(

I'm glad it's not just me. There was a big white patch of hair in the field this morning where Kelsi has been sleeping and her fur is coming out like mad.

Hope we don't have snow this year I hate the stuff!

My shettie started changing his coat 3 weeks ago and is now sporting half a winter coat i.e. hasnt got his under vest on yet. Last year he didnt change until mid-late August so i'm a little concerned about what he knows about the winter forecast.

Yeah, short fur everywhere for the last 3 weeks, definitely fleecy feel on her neck already. The woolly mammoth cometh!!

All 3 of mine are moulting - 2 section A's and a shetland. Got a big showing class in two weeks with one of the A's and praying her coat doesn't get any thicker!
