Tried a pair of Mountain Rider- Classic boots on, very comfortable...but are they likely to fall apart in 5 mins?

I would probably wear them every day, yard stuff, dog walking etc

My trusty DMs are now completely rotten and falling apart :(
(family have taken pity on me and offered to get me an early xmas pressie, before I end up with trench foot lol)

I always buy mh botts as they seem to be the right shape for my feet. my mh classics have lasted 2 years , worn most days to muck out and walk dogs in mud and wet. still wearable but leather has cracked at the sides so not now waterproof..bought a new pair from e bay \£49.99 so worth looking on there if you decide they are what you want...

My classics last me about five years before they fell apart, used them all winter the cleaned and put up in summer as had summer boots for yard.

Was just thinking the other day I miss mine.

Mine are still going strong 5 or 6 years on at least. Brilliant quality and use in all weathers at least 5 times a week.

I have a pair of the lace up boots that are about 15 years old and still perfect.
I used to love the stable loafers they made, I used to buy a pair every year then they changed the design :-(
I have a pair of high riders that I have also had for years, I only ride in them though. X

I always buy the high riders and they last years as someone else has said the zips do go and cost about £30 but still cheaper than buying new ones, I love the short boots too although the pair I have now are fit for the bin but so comfy I cant bring myself to chuck them.

Brilliant boots. Mine lasted over 6 years and I only threw them away because our house flooded and they got covered in raw sewage!!!

Brilliant boots!!! I was horrible to them. They acted as wellies a lot of the time and didn't seem to mind the mud!!! Waterproof, comfy. They were high riders!!!

I'm on my 5th year with my high riders now, mostly used in the winter xos I can fit about 5 pairs of socks under. I've just bought the supreme high riders and they have given me blisters every time I've worn them. Hopefully I'll wear them in soon and they'll turn out comfy!

I've got the short lace up yard boots - can't remember the name of the style because I've had them so long.

If they ever do give up the ghost, they're about 7 years old now and just starting to crack where my foot bends and I've never oiled them once in that time, I will certainly be buying another pair. They're super comfy and my feet never feel too hot in summer, they do get a bit chilly sometimes in winter, but only if I've got the wrong socks on! Stick on my hand knitted wool ones and no sign of a so much as a cold toe.

I've had my Classics for 10+ years :p trust me, they last! And (with the exception of 2 and a half years when I was between horses) that's been 10+ years of riding at least 3/4 times a week. I don't do yard work in mine though, I always change to ride. They'll need replaced this winter because they've cracked where my foot bends - I'll definitely be buying another pair!

I'm on my third pair in 15 years of what they used to call "Safety riders" short boots with steel toecaps. Fantastic, and saved my feet no end of squashing. :)

I have a pair of these that I need to get round to putting on preloved/ebay as they are too big for me
