I brought a pair of mountain horse sportive boots last august, havent had them a year and the soles starting to come away from the right boot at the edge, only a bit at the mo. I'm gonna see if i can get them fixed at a cobblers if not rideaway will collect them and see if they need repairing or replacing. Im worried as im taking them to the states with me for the summer and don;t want them to be even worse as they are expensive and i cant really afford to buy another pair. has ne one else had this problem or know y? i clean them regularly and only wear them for riding nothing else. i'm really worried bout it.thanx

I had a pair of the mountain horse ankle boots, as did a girl i was working with, we both looked after them, and both of the pairs split. Yes they were used daily, but for the cost, was disappointed as expected them to wear alot better than they did...

It always pay to spend a bit more money. I paid £200 for my Cavallo's over 13 years ago and they are still going strong

I had two pairs of those boots and the zips broke down the back both times- first time MH replaced them for free, second time I just took them to the cobblers to be fixed. They went on for ages after that so I rekon your best bet is just to take them to the cobblers to be fixed.

Ive had my mountain horse SCS3 jod boots for over a year now, worn daily and still going strong

Have just brought the long version now....

I had a pair of high riders that the zip went on, took them back to the saddlers and they sent them off to Mountain Horse, they repaired them, but after two or three uses the zip went again, Mountain Horse replaced them free of charge, so might be better to take them back to were you got them from instead of getting the cobblers to repair them, MH are very good with things like this.....

hmm... I've had the ankle boots for years and other than scuffing they still look good, also have a pair of high riders had them three or four years, they are at the saddlers being repaired... No fault of their own though... the mad springer got his teeth into them and pulled of the back tab and zip.
Never had a problem with mountain horse product quality. I would try and get yours replaced though, once the sole sarts to go, its hard to repair them, hope everything goes ok, and have a great summer in the US!

I've had a pair of the protective jod boots for over 2 years now and they're still going strong despite all the mud they've been worn through...

I've got a pair of the Stirling jod boots and Xcellsior leggings too, and they're brill quality and sooo comfy... also got a pair of MH breeches and they're decent quality too...

So can't really say I've had a problem with MH!

Me neither! Had loads of their stuff, all lasted brilliantly! Especially my (long) high rider boots, must have had them 4 years now virtually daily use inc mucking out, muddy fields, even walk dog in them sometimes, and apart from slight cracks so they aren't water tight any more, they are still going strong. I wore out one pair of breeches after 2 years of regular use (they were my faves so got worn more than any other pair!). OH has a coat which is lovely and wearing well so far. Only thing I ever had a problem with was a pair of waterproof bad-weather chaps, the buckle snapped but they fixed it FOC.
I love their stuff, I have to say.

My sportives are still going strong - ive done showing, hunting and showjumping over two years and their still going strong! Cant really fault them. I also have the mountain rider short boots and they have been well worn and not very well looked after and the leather is still looking gd and they dont leak. I love MH stuff!

Ive got to say im a big fan of Mountain Horse products too! I have the stable jodphur, sportive high rider and the rimfrost high rider, and all are brilliant and lasting well.

Their breeches are also my favourite and have about 3 pairs of those too, and wearing well.
