Am gutted, had planned to get these for my daughter for Christmas, as her Dublin River Boots are wrecked (not that they lasted that long in the first place!) and now availability is delayed until March next year :(.
Obviously I can't make her wait until the spring to receive them (they were going to be a surprise, but nevertheless), so now I am back to the drawing board!

So, guys, just wondering if you can offer me any suggestions, for comfy, smart country boots - she must be able to ride in them, they must be reliable (unlike the Dublin River boots!) and hardwearing. As much as I would love to get her the Dubarrys, I cannot really spend over £200, and I am not even sure if she could ride in the Dubarrys anyway?

Any suggestions most welcomed!! :)

Funnily enough, I have just been looking at the grasmeres! :) Reading a few reviews, they seem quite highly thought of! Only negative I seem to be reading is that they are tricky to get on and off
Just looked at the Derby House site and I do admit that I prefer the newer design.
Does anyone else have any opinions on the Grasmere?

Thank you :)

Yes the grasmeres are difficult to get on- sent one pair back because of this, but the second pair are the same. I guess thy may get easier with wear, but was not happy with buying expensive boots that were not comfortable to get on. Nw have tuffa sussex, and their suffolk are very comfy too. I also have had cabotswood which have been excellent.
