I need a new set of waterproof boots for winter that are comfortable enough for walking distances in & preferably suitable for riding in. I find wellies uncomfortable for walking any distance. They will be for walking my dogs and 'doing' the horses. I had chosen the Mountain Horse Groomit boots - Velcro mucker-type boots. But then I read a review that said they were too bulky to ride in and that you couldn't fit your chaps over them. I really don't want to have to be swapping boots just to go for a ride! But they look really good otherwise! Does anyone own a pair and can comment? Thanks!

They are bril and comfy on yard and for poo picking and I've even walked all round your horse live in them, but don't think suitable for ridingm domes too clumpy

Hi,

I felt I had to complete this thread. I wen ahead and ordered a pair off an ebay seller for £50. When they arrived they were certainly large, clumpy things (you could hardly tell the left from the right)but warm an comfy. I thought they were a bit big but figured I'd just wear thick socks. After wearing them twice the padding flattened and I found they were FAR too large - more like a 7 or 8 than a 6! My socks kept being swallowed! Drove me mad but it was too late to return them. The fastenings at their tightest were still far too loose too! Then, after less than 1 month of use the inner sole at the heel of one flattened down so I was walking on hard grid-shaped material. Un-wearable! Also I realised it was happening in the other! I'd expect more than 1 month's wear from £50 boots! They were big, shapeless and clumpy - the only positive is that they were warm! I am now arguing with the seller - I've had to pay to return them (!!) and they're returning them to MH to check they're faulty. They said they might replace the sole or offer a credit note. I do not want either - I want my money back! This whole process is taking weeks. I would never ever recommend these boots!

Instead I bought Woofwear Easy Close Short Boots and they are amazing! They're true to size, warm, really comfy, much more attractive, they fasten closely, they're far more ergonomic and £15 cheaper! Absolutely perfect and highly recommended!

I just hope I get my money back!
