Hi all,

Due to having just had my birthday recently, I have some spare cash burning a hole in my pocket and would like to invest in a nice pair of long boots.

I like the idea of the SCS3 system and the look of the MH High Caliber boots. Just wondered if there were any of you out there who have these and could share your opinion of them with me?

Also, what is the sizing of them like? If I can't find anywhere local with them to try on, I may just take a chance on the web and risk having to send them back for another size! Does the foot part come up big/small? Calf fairly average or narrow?

Thanks!

My friend had a pair of these and cant get on with them as they rub her heel. I tried them on and while they fit me didnt think much of the finish inside so dont think they are very good vfm. They look very nice but have heart the Ariat tall boots are better

I have some MH High Caliber boots and I love them. They are so so comfy and I find them great to ride in. I got mine for about £155 but cant remember where from but TDS saddlers did them for not much more. They come in different hights and widths but I needed Regular length, regular width and aparantly MH dont stock the UK with this size anymore although they will get them sent to your local stockist. Just letting you know because the ones listed as Regular are really a shorter length.
They now do a classic boot too without the laced front, have a nosey at the website, gives the size charts too.

I dont have the HC but have had the High Riders for hacking etc and they're brill. If the HC is the same quality, then you'll be making a good investment. I bourght my HRs 3 years ago and they've been worn all day for most days and are proving a best buy. That works out to 0.14p per day!! Zip is still good, no sign of wear and tear, apart from leather cracking slightly across toes and thats only due to the fact the HR are an oiled leather and need oiling regularly, which I dont! MH if you're watching - how about some sponsorship!

Can't reccomend them highly enough, really support your foot.

I guess they come up big as I am normally a 5.5/6 & a 5 fitted me. I use them with the scs3 treads & really like th combo.
