So after trying....

De Niro s3312 £290 boots - too short

Ariat Bromont - too short and too wide

Brogini - Too wide

I have managed to find the Mountain Horse Supreme High Rider!!!

I looked on the website and in the long narrow combination it's -

Size 40-41 not sure on fit yet
51cm height - perfect !!!!!!
34-37 calf in the 41
32-35 in the 40

So what are they like?

They will be kept for competition and 1 lesson a week that is in a school not mud

Also when it says 34-37 calf I am a 34 so may they be a little wide? as surely 3cm is a lot of difference!!

I'm a 51 height so they are perfect in that way too!!

They look very neat on the foot too which is good as I have skinny ankles!!

How long do they take to Break in??

I'm going to ring my tack shop today to get me some in to try and hopefully they should fit!!

Thanks in advance !!! :)

I adore mine! I have to be careful with boots as I have a plate and some screws in my ankle so I can only have really soft leather.

The leather on these is perfect, took no time at all to wear in, I found the fit round the calf to be a little tight to begin with and the length was a bit high, but they have slipped down & stretched a little, but because they are soft leather it doesn't seem to matter and in time they mould perfectly to you leg/ankle, they look very smart too! I have to wear mine for every day use as I can't find anything else I like! I would love to invest in another pair just for competitions!!

P.S I have a size 41 I think I should have gone for the 40 as they are generous!

Thanks for that !!

They sound promising!!

I'm going for long narrow as need 51 height and 34cn calf

My tack shop is measuring me up tommorow for them then ordering then and said they come next day!!

Really excited they look beautiful boots :)

I gave up trying to find long boots to fit me, they were all too wide, I din't try High Rider's so cannot comment on them.

I decided to stick with short boots and gaiters, they tend to work out cheaper and are very versatile :)

I have Ariat short boots and Gaiters

But they are too short and wide haha

I want long boots as they are easier to put on haha

If these don't fit I will have run out of options at this price and will have to get Gaiters instead
I prefer long boots as do working hunter so look smarter
