Mountain rider boots acceptable for showing?

Need to get some new boots for showing......did have equitector but they got nicked so looking for someting a little cheaper....worried that they're too chunky!

Yes - never thought we'd be thinking about doing stuff like this....baby steps though!

just looked at equitector again and they're about the same price so think I'll go for them again!

Stimpy - I have the Sportive High Rider II and I wouldn't wear them for showing - they are too bulky - you are much better off with a traditional boot if you can get them (also not too sure the MH Logo on the side would be appropriate)... Good luck x

Hi Stimpy, I am so glad that everythings worked out for you and Ty and its great to be able to start making plans for your future together,I have had two pairs of the MH sportive boots and have used them for showing , working hunter etc. I have noticed at higher level showing like County, they are never worn (but that wont affect me or the level Im currently at) Id say they are a pretty good option as an all rounder.

Think I'll get the equitector then as they're a bit finer.....can't get my calves into most boots though - got a 16 1/2 inch calf if anyone has any ideas!!!

Are you allowed to wear jod boots and gaiters for showing? They generally work out cheaper and the gaiters come in loads of fittings (apart from mine - I can only wear them in summer as in winter I can't get them on over thick socks

) but it might be worth thinking about.

I'm a bit oldschool though and think it's all about boots!

Regent Grafton? They do a 16.5 inch calf I think? And look pretty traditional, have no emblems on and have zip up the back.
