As you all know my boy passed away the other day and I want to have his shoes silver platted and mounted on a nice wooden plaque with his name and date of death ingraved below in small a brass plaque one for myself and one for my friend / big siter who used to own him and helped me deal with everything the other day.

Im sure there used to be an advertisment in the back of the horse and hound but its no longer there. Does anyone know what I mean and if so can any one suggest where I can have this done, if not ill attempt it myself

ok I was thinking of asking my dad to do that for me and maybe going to a coblers and asking them to do me a little brass plaque but I thought if I could get someone to do it all then it would be less hassel,

Bad lazy thoughts: you could get it done in chrome instead of silver which would look almost the same but never need polishing! Had brass bathroom fittings done to match some chrome door handles etc, cd probably find the details easily enough, pretty sure it wasn't vastly expensive.

thats true though I always thought Silver and Crome were the same colour anyway lol.
Im thinking spary paint would be better and then Ill have to go and get a nice piece of wood to mount it on and may even attach a picture I dunno yet.

My dad polished my old ponies shoe on an electronic polisher/ grinder in the garage ( one for cleaning car parts apparently ) and i carried it at my wedding. It polished great.
