I need a portable mounting block. All the ones I've seen so far are just not big enough. Being vertically challenged with a dodgy leg and a 17hh horse does not make life easy.
It needs to be at least 19" or more.
Anyone any ideas?

Not as smart as the ones Rema linked to but I went to Ikea & bought a cheap set of steps that work very well!

They are fab except mine were left out in all weathers, then ran into by a mentally challenged cob, and have now been thrown on to the rubbish heap!! Apparently Cuprinol is no match for inconsiderate fellow liveries!!

Would guess at about 1& half to 2 foot high roughly. When i'm standing on the top step I am well above my horse's neck when I am plaiting up - looking down on him rather than stretching up!! They also have a handle cut out of the top step for carrying! Absolutely all the requirements for next to no moneyas I recall!! (sorry can't remember the price!!)

Shame about yours 2310 - but hey you can afford to get another set they're so cheap!!??

I would definitely buy another set, but unfortunately my brain and credit card can only take two trips to Ikea a year, and I'm not due another one until February he he he!

Have now persuaded OH to make me a new super duper one from railway sleepers and welded metal, although knowing him, it'll be ready by about the 2012 Olympics.......

i've got a ready good portable one, it my front bumper on my landie, OH has put checker plate on top of bumper so it's not slippery and moved number plate, so i don't clip it when mounting.
Brilliant best mobile mounting block and if you need to go higher, you can stand on wing panel - a very useful tool

Ingenious kick_On!

Jacqzoo, they're not on the website as far as I know, they're one of the 'essential' items they scatter round the store to tempt you into spending waaaaaaay more than you intended to!

I'm sure they're not more than a fiver though, very reasonable.
