Hi, I am seeking advice for mounting my horse at the mounting block. He is perfectly fine to mount on the yard using my grooming kit box to stand on and will stand still and wait for me to get on but when I try to get on in the sand school he will rotate his hind end, walk forwards, backwards to get out of standing still. He has a correctly fitted saddle but I'm out of solutionsnow so any advice please comment

My old lad used to do the same. Its a dominance thing. I was shown exercises to train him out of it. Swing away and I push him further the same way. Walk backwards and I push him further backwards. We stopped when I decided, not him. Reward him for doing what you want.

I think you're in the wrong section - try re-posting in tack room or competition and training.

Persistence is key to teaching them to stand at the mounting block. There are a lot of variants on exercises to help - it might be worth getting an instructor to support you for a while to figure out which would work best for you and your horse.
