MOuthing at the bit.

Donovan has just started to really mouth the bit when we are at shows. he has always done it, but not to this extent. he has a french link snaffle, and it has been suggested to change him to a straight bar. What do we think? He doesnt show any other signs of discomfort, eating comfortably, and once he is in the ring, he is fine, its just when we are waiting to go in. Could it just be restlessness?

Yes boredom or restlessness or excitement if its just when you're waiting to go in, because he's got nothing to focus his mind on. If he goes well in the bit I wouldn't change it. Mouthing the bit won't do him any harm.
