I will keep this as brief as possible. :)

We currently rent (for £15 per week) a 7 acre field for two section a's who had lami for the first time last year and a cob who has terrible sweet itch. The field has barbed wire which up until now we are not allowed to touch so I have electric too. It is opposite a site where some people live who have nicked my ponies before and the chaps who rent the units next to my field go in there to smoke joints, get drunk and chase my ponies. I am not happy there, there are no facilities but there is also no one to answer to, I can do what I like and my boys don't need for anything (well maybe a field shelter).
So chappy who owns it has now said that he wants it all post and railed and can we do it for free rent. He is happy to put electric fence on mains so I don't have to lug batteries up there and I can build mobile field shelter.

Then yesterday I was approached by lady who has horses about 10 minutes away. There are 2 stables available. The little ones would be stabled together anyway as otherwise they try to climb out. They have plenty of grazing, there are only 5 stables on the yard...grass school, hard standing for transport and its £30 per stable per week.

So...would you move? Hubby thinks its expensive?! And eventually I could have it all at my field...what to do?

Should say that field really belongs to chappy's mum who is 80 odd and when she croaks, we don't know if we would be able to stay.

Lots of Christmas chocs leftover for sharing xx

People "nicking" your ponies?? Chasing them.. Smoking joints in your field.. I wouldn't for a moment be thinking about investing money and committing yourself further to this place when you have a better option elsewhere.

When you say your ponies want for nothing - i don't suppose they want people chasing them or trying to nick them!

Thir safety first :-)

To be truthful, I want to go...it's hubby that needs convincing so I was going to wait and show him this :)

You are right lulup they won't want to be chased but what I mean is I make the best of what I have got xx
