EEEK!
Was on part livery (have been for 4 years) and have now moved to a new yard on DIY.
What Have I Done! EEEK!

I work full time, I have a 12yo daughter, an OH who works away a 10 month old GSD and 2 rabbits (one recently rescued due to nutty aggressive behaviour).

Hints and tips gratefuly received for making this transition from almost Lady Muck to what could easily become a Mucky Lady

I'm on DIY but have only had a horse of my own for 2 weeks today, shared previously but did everything, and its still a shock! I'm a student and travel to brighton from london 3x a week so I can keep my horse, luckily I'm on a small and friendly yard so theres always someone to help, is your new yard like that?
Best thing to do is to get into a routine ie get to the yard at the same time every morning if you can around work and your daughter, and get everything done in the morning so if he comes in at night all you have to do is bring him in and feed and settle him for the night.
Its easier to ride in the morning straight from the stable as well, ride 1st thing then turn out and muck out. Or you can get there, feed then muck out and generally do what you have to do while he's digesting his feed.
How did the move go anyway, why did you decide to move?

you can do it, at least we are part way through the really pants weather, that makes you feel more up against it when the sun isnt shinning, it is hard going sometimes when you have so much else going on, but my horse gives me therapy when i get to spend time with her at weekends
