I have been hunting my little cob in a Tom Thumb, but in all honesty, he probably doesn't need that much brakes.I know that its only severe if used that way. He has a small mouth, and likes to play with something in his mouth, so the Tom Thumb has been good from that point of view. The loose rings and copper suited him.
So I don't think we are ready for a snaffle yet but would a waterford hanging snaffle be a step down?
Or any other suggestions?
