Can you do this?

I am moving my girls in March. I have access to a 5 acre field which is great for Toffee and boyfriends cob, but I really want to school Samba and actually do stuff with her. I feel that I would benefit from regular lessons and training for her. So my plan is:

Livery either full turn out or stable as she lives out fine. But really would like access to a school and instructor and just to get back in the livery swing of things to get involved in events and some competition etc.

And then in the summer move her to my grazing in the summer, where I will have access to loads and loads of hacking and I can make myself a grass school.

And then go back to livery in the winter if there is spaces available.

Would this be possible or would it look really rude as I bog off in the summer? What are your thoughts??

I know somebody who does this as they have limited grazing over the winter. Don't know how the livery yard feel about it but they take the horses back every winter, so it can't be too frowned upon!
I'd go for it if I were you - you can always not tell them that you'll be leaving before the summer of the first year!

Our livery yard takes an oldie in for winter. He's out all summer in his owners field but he wouldn't cope with a winter out (30 yr old TB).
She always rings early enough to make sure there is a stable available, they don't keep one free for her.

I would prob move her straight there tbh so I can get to work on her dressage, showjumping and anything else she may turn a hoof too so might even be there for the first summer. Im glad it doesnt sound like a crazy idea I havent been on livery for 8 years so really want to get back into it.

There's a horse at our yard that just comes for the summer because they have so little grass at home.

I'm sure our YO wouldn't turn anyone away just because they only wanted to be there for 6 months and I'm sure she would have them back again the following year - obviously space depending.
