Very excited about moving to Bradford-on-Avon but need stables/grazing to rent or livery yard in the area for 2 boys - can anyone recommend? Would prefer small adult yard with sand school...

Hello

Good luck with your move, I moved to Wiltshire last year very scary at the time but love it here now!

I have 2 yards in Wiltshire offering livery. One is in Upavon, Pewsey and the other Alton Barnes, Pewsey. Not sure how far I am from you though!

If you would like any details PM me.

Get in touch with West Wilts Equestrian Centre, they are at Holt which is only a few miles from B on A. If they cant offer you livery there they will know most of the local yards.

In the meantime if I spot anything in the local paper I will PM you.

Thanks for the advice Spaniel - visiting the area tomorrow so will drop in on WWEC. Very kind of you to offer to look out in the paper - are there any particular publications that you'd recommend us picking up?

Westcountry Riders and Ridgeway Rider should cover the area quite well, there are a number of free horsey papers round here so thats a good excuse for you to nip into a tack shop whilst you are here and pick them up! I recomend Wadswick Feeds/Country Store - east-ish of Bath.

If you can get in at West Wilts the facilities are excellent. It is only 10 mins from Bradford on Avon! There is also quite a large yard in Bradford that is owned I think by Nick Hillier who does West country Haylage - he usually advertises in Ridgeway rider or West Country rider.
