Well the forecast looks like we are preparing for two weeks worth of solid rain, my winter fields are looking quite poor and they are beginning to get through the haylage quite quick!

I have a field that has been rested all year (was topped in late September) but still has a very thick covering of grass on it!

It will be three ponies going on three and a half acres!

Should i worry about laminitias etc, pen part of it of or shall i just go for it and put them out there?

I'd probably split it in half at least and keep a close eye on their weight. Splitting will both allow you to control what they eat and keep a nice half a field if they trash the first half.
I only move mine onto their winter field in the Christmas holidays as there is a lot more winter to come from now until spring!!

Agree with Polos mum - if some of that rain forecast becomes frosty days you could have an issue - 3 1.2 acres is a lot for 3 ponies, I would def split it into at least 2 but preferably 3 fields.
