Moving to a new place soon, multiple horses that are quite calm but likely to have a bit of a reaction (under 10)

Would you:

a) move them from van to field
b) move them from van to stable

If they are likely to react but are all good to be caught I would put them all in the field. Much more natural in my opinion and better for them to run off any anxiety about the move.
I think it's down to personal choice though!

I put my ex racer straight off the lorry from Ireland straight into a field. Helped him to get used to the smell of the place and if he was going to explode at least he would do it in a field, not in the closed space of a stable :) He was chatting up the ladies and playing with the other horses in no time!

Ditto- last time I moved years ago my horses went straight out into a small paddock. Wasn’t a long journey but they were ready to stretch their legs and flirt with new friends next door!
Stable just delays the inevitable and they may be a pain to try and turn out a few hours later
