hello
i will be relocating to Ireland in the next couple of months, near to cabinteely so we are looking for properties circa 45 mins from here heading south. can anyone advise of yards near to this area or the best yards to look for? ive got a semi retired WB so no school needed, just stable and grazing with services, thank you :)

I used to live very near cabinteely. I'm still only 20 mins away.
When you say you are looking for properties, is that to buy or rent?
Or are you just looking for DIY livery?

Daft.ie or myhome.ie for rental properties and donedeal.ie is probably used the most for livery ads. Usually yards are either DIY or full livery. I don't know of any that combine into part livery. Assisted DIY would usually just feed or turn out the horses.

If you're looking to live away from cabinteely then Greystones is a nice spot. Enniskerry is also nice. Both would be fairly close to a good selection of yards. I don't know of any that do 5 day livery though

Try the Equine services section of DoneDeal.ie there are usually livery yards with spaces available around Dublin advertised on it and minimilton could probably give you any idea of how close or not they would be to where you will be based.

Know the area well, there are a good few yards within about 15 mins of Cabinteely. I don't think you'd have to go as far as 45 mins for a property, 20mins away and you are practically in the countryside. Some yards do full livery, some diy/diy assist. Feel free to send me pm about any particular areas you are interested in if you want to know more about it. I don't think hacking as good here as you hear about in UK but there is usually hacking on quiet roads and depending on yard can have access to various fields and routes.
