I've been offered two places at a new yard, can't decide.

Present Yard
Lovely hacking, but no roadwork for my barefoot boys
Indoor stabling
Small stables
Outdoor sand school with lights and jumps
Competent YO, albeit set in her ways
Lush grazing
Walker
YO on yard at 7.30am until 4.30pm
Group turnout

New Yard
Decent varied hacking
Indoor, airy stabling
Bigger stables
Outdoor sand school with lights and jumps
Competent YO, on yard at 6.30, last night check at 9pm.
Grazing suitable for laminitics and IR horses
Individual turn out

WWYD?

well how much do you like the other place ? if it was full tomorrow would you be upset ?

If it was me I would probably pick the new one

Be careful if you have not kept your horse on individual turnout before, i have moved yards to individual turnout not thinking it will be a problem and my horse has turned into a complete nightmare, hes a bag of nerves.
some horses i know are fine with it though

I thought they would be full, but YO has offered to turn two of hers out at the end of the month to free up two boxes for me. Very kind.

Ditto this - I think if you are happy with your current yard then stay - the grass isn't always greener.

If are unhappy then it's worth considering but don't move just for the sake of it!

Point taken. I've had a long think, and as mine has only recently been diagnosed IR, I know they can't stay at present yard, just nowhere suitable for them to graze and I really don't want them in for the summer too. Last summer was bad enough as they were in so much with the grass being too much for them. I do really try not to move them as its such an upheaval for everyone.
