Moving to Roscommon. What should I know? Tell me all

Ok, I'm seriously thinking of moving to Roscommon as that seems to be where the Brits move with their horses.
What is the hacking like there? I'm aware Ireland has no bridleways, same as Scotland there then.
How difficult is it to find a decent vet, trimmer, dentist, saddle fitter?
Are there any competitions held nearby?

Hi, I don't know the answer to any of your questions but I did take lessons from Adrien Kneale at Lough Gara riding stables, near Boyle.
