hello

I hope I am posting on the correct section!!.... i am looking at moving to Urmston/ Sale / Altrincham way, and looking for grazing and / or stabling.

i currently have my own place so ideally i'd prefer to rent a place on my own or share a field / stables with others, rather than livery, but open to anything.

I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction please?

Thanks.
Nicola

I live in this area but have always been on livery yard so couldn't really recommend anywhere specific for grazing. But Cheshire horse could be a good place to start, also the area Ashley seems to have quite a lot of smaller places where people turn horses away etc. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply! What livery yards would you recommend if I was to go on livery? And what kind of prices am I looking at. I rang one today and she said £25 a WEEK just for haylage - OMG I only pay £25 a MONTH at the moment for two horsesn at my own yard!! Think I am going to have to get a mortgage lol for my livery bills!!

Average livery prices in that area are £25pw DIY (stable and grazing - not always 24hr in summer and sometimes non at all in winter) and £10-£15pw haylage for basic yard with school. (Some are much mire expensive but have walkers, large indoors etc etc) Winter turnout isn't great anywhere ask very carefully if this is important to u.

There are lots and lots in and around the area - that's where we're based! I think I might have visited most of them at some point in search of the perfect place for our lad!

PM me if you're after a second opinion! :D
