Moving Ty

Following on from my post earlier, should I ask that the people who had ty for all of 2 days should pay the petrol for picking him up?

I feel a bit mean but then they haven't given him a chance and I'm going to have to borrow a box and move him somewhere else.

I'm still fuming about the whole thing the more I think about it....makes Ty sound like he's a nutter but he's not. He's a naughty yearling in an older horses body and just needs to know his place - typical TB!!!!

I'd ask for a contribution yes. They haven't got to know him really, not given him a chance to settle even, and I'd be annoyed that they haven't even tried with him.

When I loaned I paid for transport there and back, at about £200 each direction...

I was going to ask for £50 diesel money which is more than fair (I think) for a 2 hour round trip...?

I would assume that as they don't want him, they will be delivering him back to you.

nope. Conveniently they have no box as it's being fixed.

The round trip on Saturday cost me £50 so I think that's fair.

Yeah I doubt it as well but have to ask I guess. Just want him out of there as from what I can tell they don't have a clue and I don't want him to hurt himself.

So sorry Park Ranger. What went wrong and I can't remember why you were putting him on loan?

He went on loan (on Saturday) because I just haven't got enough time for both of them.

He reared when we got there and banged his head - poor sod was stressing about not being with Oscar and got himself in a state. I walked him around the school to calm him down and he was fine. I was told that they'd have no problems dealing with him etc.

So they tried riding him tonight (which normally I would do too, unless a horse was taking a while to settle, which he obviously was) and he was being a fidget and wouldn't let them put a bridle on. They took him in the stable and he squashed her against the wall. I'd bet a tenner it was on his blind side!

If that was me he would have got a bloody good telling off and then lunged or something....I guess they just don't have the knowledge to deal with him. Worse thing is that they made him sound like a monster. The fact that he wouldn't stand still to have his feet picked out spoke volumes, I just don't think there are as experienced as they let on!

Anyway, onwards and upwards I have a good feeling about where he's going - a competent horse woman who's going to give him time to settle!

Well sometimes we all think we're more experienced until we come across something we're not used to dealing with. It's probably turned out for the best as they could have caused more problems that good so fingers crossed.

Have just caught up with your posts. Bloody hell you must be peed off. Maybe its a good thing he didn't settle as it sounds like the place he is going to will be spot on. Deff asking for diesel money and if it were me a few strong words.

Oh God you must be Fed Up TWO DAYS to settle in thats ludicrous.
If he played up he obviously knew they were asses!
