Yes. In person, I left a yard I'd happily been at for 3 years. It was DIY so a home from home and at their home. I left for horses health reasons and did it face to face, it was nice and means I can always go back if I ever needed anywhere.

I think every yard I've left I've told the YO/YM in person which is a big deal for me as I'm quite anxious and worry about their reaction and I hate confrontation if they were to get upset/annoyed about it.
I have once told the YO by text but that was only because it was a very quick decision and it just happened that she was getting ready at home to go on holiday and I had missed her at the yard. I didn't want to ring her in case she was too busy so thought at that time that a text was best.
