moving yards notice..?

When moving yards how much notice would you give...?
Im just wondering because my contract on my current field does not run out until october...however I do not want to move into the new yard until start of sept so would it be realistic to think 4 weeks is the normal time period most people give/yards will wait for you?

I do not cause problems/embarrase myself by saying I will not start paying my new livery rent until the start of sept...?

1 month is very usual

To me it depends whether you pay weekly or monthly if you pay weekly a weeks notice and if you pay monthly a months notice, although would always try and give as much notice as i could ( as long as i was leaving on good terms!!)
