Very nervous! :(

Been at current yard 6.5 years ...won't go into why I'm leaving, but if anybody read my Soapbox post you'll understand!

I'm sure everything will be ok, just panicking about my 6year old being turned out in a new herd, he's been in the same one since he was 2. Hills are very steep, paranoid he will slip and break a leg....somebody slap me! :o

Have asked if our field can be fenced across the middle so as to rule out steepest part so that is being sorted for me.

Probably worrying for nothing just need some confident vibes and for you all to tell me not to be a wobbler! :D
 
Try not to worry, I left my rented yard to go on a livery yard so I could get away from a bully on the next field, happy I did it now as I know I did the right thing even tho my wheelbarrow keeps wandering off! its daunting when you've been somewhere for a long time but I'm sure everything will turn out ok, let us know how you get on
 
Don't worry about the hill, my lot live on a hillside and they are very surefooted as a result.

I hope that the move goes smoothly and that he settles into his new herd with no problems. :)
 
I was at the same yard for twelve and a half years with the same horse should of done it twelve and a half years ago lol if i can do it uve got no worries xxx

No. :D I have a lovely yellow Massey F and harrow, although I would tip it over if I went right to the top of that hill. ;) I rotate the grazing, horses are wormed and it's all great.

Horses are a lot more sensible than we give them credit for.

So true. They very quickly learnt to go diagonally on the steeper bit, so when they come down towards you, they zig-zag. Clever ponies. :)
