Moving yards

I think it depends if you think you and your horse will be happy at the new place.

If on the other hand it was a case of having to for money's sake then yes i think i would!

Is the yard in mind closer to you? If so you will be saving pennys all round with fuel and all that.

Oh just think what you could do with the extra money (another bridesmaid)

it will be a very hard decision if you are happy where you are, but if I had to save money then I would.

Me and my horse are happy at our current yard, but there are a few draw backs, like not being able to keep my trailer there for one! Plus its sooooo far away and the journey really makes me tired after a day at work. Trouble is, we have all the facilities you could wont.

I wouldn't no, but my horse is very settled where he is and i wouldn't want to risk him going back to the way he used to be. My yard is a bit far away and not ideal though.

See, thats what Im concerned about aswell. Arch is very settled where he is, but Ive got to think of the money aswell, what a kuffuffle!

There's no way I would move. Yes it's expensive and yes it's about a 30 mile round trip but my horse is happy, the facilities and hacking are fantastic and the people are lovely. It is a risk but if you have to move for money's sake than I guess you should.

DO WHAT YOU WANT YOU DONT HAVE TO ASK PEOPLE THEIR OPINIONS DO YOU ITS TOTALLY UP TO YOU!!!
IF IT IS SAVING MONEY THEN YES GO AHEAD BUT IF YOUR HORSE IS REALLY SETTLED AND HAS CLOSE FRIENDS AT YOUR OTHER YARD THEN I WOULD PERSONALLY SAY NO BECAUSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO MOVE AWAY FROM YOUR CLOSE MATES KNOWNING THAT YOU MAY NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN... THINK ABOUT IT..

SORRY BOUT THE IT BEING IN CAPITALS!!

Yes. I am biting the bullet and moving end of Dec - gave notice at my yard this week. I would rather not, but vets fees this year mean I need to get some costs down, and sadly that's the reality. Its also nearer so i will save in diesel. Keep your fingers crossed for me and ponio!

Only if the cheaper, nearer yard was equal to or better than current yard in terms of facilities, grazing, hacking and standards of horsecare. Hence probably not.
