Hi, can anyone tell me the best way to go about moving yards in terms of settling the horse in the best way. Would you recommend that the horse is stable a few days etc, and slowly introduced to new horses. All suggestions welcome as never moved yards before so a lil nervous!

ANy yard i have moved to has always had its own 'settling in' policy (usually stable overnight for worming) and i have just followed that. (no choice really lol!!) I think as long as you are there to oversee things and keep feeding etc in a routine things should settle down in a couple of weeks. You could maybe feed your horse a probiotic (pink powder is good) to help settle thier digestive system. As for you - bottle (oops glass of course) of wine!

Our are always in 48hrs (can be ridden, just not allowed in turnout) for worming. Then they go out in a field by themselves for at lteast a couple of days next to the field with the horses they are going to be turned out in. They are in there until basically they stop squealing at each other and everyone's happy.
