Eeeeeeeeeek! I am moving yards tomorrow!

I have been at my present yard almost 2 years but for a variety of reasons I have decided to move.

I am currently praying that we don't get any snow (so far so good) as I have to hack to the new yard. Also, fingers crossed, my pony will behave herself hacking down alone to the new yard.

I am very excited and nervous all at the same time. I just hope that my horse can adapt to the change and not get too upset by it all. She is going from being in a traditional stable block to being in an American barn set up so it will be quite different for her.

I am planning to spend as much time as possible with her over the weekend to hopefully help her settle in.

Wish me luck.

Good luck with your move and I hope that the snow stays off long enough for you to get there! I'm sure she will settle okay, especially if you are going to spend a lot of time with her over the weekend. It amazes me how horses sometimes find it so easy to adapt to new situations.

I hope you enjoy your new yard and it is all you want it to be x

Yea the new yard is much smaller than where I am at the moment with only 8 liveries including me. At the back of my 12 x 12 stable I have my own tack room which will be brilliant. No more having to walk to collect my tack and take it back.

Also can't wait to be able to spend time with my horse without having to stand out in the rain.
