Moving Ellie in the morning to a new yard and feeling really nervous have been at my old yard for 6 years but made the decision a few weeks ago it was time to move her as she is in a mixed herd. After a nasty kick 10 weeks ago she has just come sound and l cannnot take the chance of her being injured again. Have found a yard that does individual turnout just down the road from me.

Please keep your fingers crossed we settle in the new yard, l am really upset leaving many good friends at my old yard.

Good luck!

Some friends of mine had a similar situation lately- in the end you are ultimately doing what's best for your horse- your friends can still be your friends, even if you don't see them as regularly as before.

Enjoy your new yard! :)

It is the best thing for Ellie is to move as l think she will be more settled with no geldings annoying her. And yes l will still be able to ride with my friends it just not the same not seeing them every day. We went out for a lovely meal last night so l hope we continue going out together :)
