I have made the decision to move yards. As much as I love my YO'S, I feel its within Ruby's best interests to move (and my bank accounts!)
I visited the new yard last night and I'm going back up today with my deposit. My current YO was so understanding, she offered to take us too which is really nice of her. I technically didn't have to give notice as it wasn't stated in my contract. However there is no way I would just get up and go, after all they have done for me. I discussed it with my YO and she told me not to give any as that would mean I am paying out for 2 stables. She is such a lovely woman!
The new yard has over 50 acres. 24/7 in summer on a 13 acre field with other Horses and Ind. paddock for winter daily. She will have company either side as all the Horses go out every day no matter what the weather (current yard, Ruby spends alot of time in winter out alone) The people all seemed lovely! they all came over to introduce themseleves and ask me some questions about Ruby. There is also lots of off road hacking and people to hack with (yayyy) her stable will be furfest away from the hay and straw so hopefully it will make a big difference to her cough in the winter when shes in. New yard is also closer to home, which is a bonus.
I have a very busy week ahead of me (thank god I have 4 days off) I need to get my current YO'S a little something (any suggestions?)
