Hi All, Im new to the forum & New to HH,
I could really do with some advise, Basically i have Gone and bought myself a dream Cob, He is everything a novice could ask for and more,
but my problems lies with the new yard, we have only been there for a week & Already i am frustrated with the yards owner, not only that i have found a stables closer to my home, (which i never knew was there) and i would like to move him over Asap really, But im worried about unsettling him again, as he has been passed from pillar to post, but that said has settled quite nicely were he is,
So my question is, should put up with it for now & spend time bonding with him first before uprooting him again, or should i make arrangements to move him as and when :)

I would move your horse now if you can. You will get much better bonding at a yard you like than one you are unhappy with and don't want to be there.

Hope you make a desision and definatly have lots of fun with your new horse.

Go for it ! He may be unsettled for a while , but you don't want to have to wait weeks. Ive just moved my mare and we are in week two and still not settled fully. Once there you can concentrate on settling in. Ive been in yards where the yard owner is a nightmare and they home in on new ones !

Move now while you have the chance. If you're not happy neither will your horse be.

Horses go away to shows all the time and don't often get upset. They may call out and spin around for a look at all the new sights but most just get stuck in to food.
