An idiot at my yard had her MP3 player/phone balanced on her horse's quarters, playing loudly, as she groomed and tacked up the horse. Beggars belief...

shoot me down but why is this a problem if the horse doesnt mind it??

I've got one, but couldn't bear the thought of using it whilst I was riding - I'd be forgetting there was a horse under me..my concentration isn't good at the best of times!!

they do my head in too, i dont want to listen to someone else's music whilst im trying to relax with my horse! wouldnt ever wear one whilst riding - you need to be fully aware of your surroundings. Although i rest things on my horse too if i need to. he's pretty laid back!

great for practising dressage to music but NOT to be recommended when rididng on the road as you won't hear the cars.

I would be worried about it falling off the horse if balanced on it's bum though!

i think i would fall off as i love music and it would knock what concentration i have!!! i think bear would enjoy it though!! i think it could be a bit dangerous out in traffic.

I sometimes use one to practice dressage, I have some of those audio tests on my MP3. I don't think I'd wear one while riding out cos I like to hear if anything's coming.

As for the girl putting her's on her horse's quarters while she grooms, I don't a problem with this so long as it's not so loud it's annoying other people.
