Can anyone tell me their approximate MPG for their lorries - mine is a 1999 Leyland DAF?

Just trying to work out approximate fuel costs :)

My box has hardly any living and can carry 3 - 4 horses but will only be carrying a 14.2 section D (thought id add it in to show not taking much :) )

Thankyou!!!

Would offer a nice jam doughnut but ive just eaten it!!

I had a daf 130 until a couple of years back, and it did 12-15mpg on average.
That was with 2 big horses.
I now have an iveco and carry a Welsh d and Irish draft or middle weight cob, and it does about 15-18 mpg on average. We are quite hills terrain here though.

It really will depend on the engine size of your lorry, the weight you are carrying and the design of your container (some are more aero-dynamic than others).

Brill thanks, Ill work it out for 15 mpg then, just trying to sort my budget out for each show and how much itll approximatly cost me so that my bank balance doesnt have a shock lol!!!

Mines just a box with no luton or aerofoil - could do with adding an areofoil and some skirts i think - thats winters job! :)
