mph estimates for a 2.8 TD Pajero 1994 (automatic) ????

Alex, Could I suggest that you go on to the Pajero Owners Club website. They will be able to answer all your questions in one shot AND you'd get it straight from the horses mouth, as it were... :D

Thanks Ive tried there - everything is out of date and a lot of the links no longer work - hence H&H.

um mid twentys unless you go very carefully!!!! I had one and it was a bit heavy on fuel for a daily driver, but if its just for towing then not a problem ... the newer 3.2 is better...

...

I had a 1996 model & was getting around 22-23 mpg normal driving & considerably less when towing a loaded horse trailer......probably around 18 mpg. If you are heavy footed you can get an even worse mpg.

They are a great machine, they give a really confortable ride & have all the power you would ever need but very thirsty. :(

I've got an M reg 2.8 auto and I don't dare calculate the mileage. With a horse on the back I swear I can see the fuel needle move. Luckily it's got a huge tank.

I only use it for towing.

I would imagine any similar vehicle will perform as badly. I bought mine because it was recommended to be a 'tough as old boots' vehicle that will tow anything.

I had a 2.8 SWB TD, lovely thing, very reliable never missed a beat but it was thirsty for everyday use (but then I do travel 32 miles a day) but great for weekend towing, if your just buying for towing then I'd really recomend one, I was very sad to sell mine but the guy who bought it 5 years ago is using it, he said he loves it.
