Mr Henry... Many Questions

Well i adore my horse! But (theres always a but with me lol) i have had him for a week yesterday, we had a few "teething issues"(a nasty fall...) but we are over that! We have been riding out with a little mare and its been going well - but i want to ride out on my own because its not always covienient for us to ride to together. he is very attached to the mare and wont leave her so how should i seperate them? also i havent been able to canter on him yet how long would you wait ? also he wont ride in feilds because he gets tense without his friend!!?

Can you get someone to go with you on foot instead of his friend to start with? I'd wait a bit longer for him to settle before cantering but depends where you had in mind.

With the cantering bit... I just waited until it felt right then popped into canter rather than planning to canter. I dunno if you're the same but whenever I try and plan something it always goes wrong

I agree, I would have someone on foot to start with
