hope you lot enjoy these!

You're giving me hope :)

ahh bless you!! I just wanted you to know I know how you feel and how it is okay. I went through all the emotions but took the plunge and it was the best thing ever. My only advise would be give them time. Moose has three months of doing nothing, 1 month box rest 1 month pen rest then 1 month field rest and he came in a changed horse.

Mr Moose actually tried to kill me before he was diagnosed he is a totally changed boy and is FABULOUS! He used to stand straight up and plunging into bronks I took him to the vets as a last chance thing.......he has three fused and they removed two of them and now we are fixed!!!!!! Actually about to book a lesson for a couple of weeks time.

off treadmilling again tomorrow :) :) water up to his knees!

This is great Annunziata, he's looking fantastic and it's so good to hear you've been riding him and he's a changed character. He must be feeling so much better. As someone facing a KS diagnosis in their horse, this is a ray of hope :)

There is lots of hope dont dispare!! I can not believe how chilled out he is not it is truly amazing. He used to always have this really worried stressed look about him not as you can see from the lunging photos dope on a rope comes to mind (the photos were taken before we did any work, he is a ham!

Moose is just the horse I always wanted him to be now which is brilliant. he is sharp (believe it or not) at times and moves well. We are off water treadmilling tonight so I will get you guys a video of him and its water to the knees tonight :)

Keep up the spirit and questions or if you want to vent PM me

Hiya Annunziata can I just jump in and wave here its Charlie's owner. Just to let people know we had less invasive surgery as he only had two processes touching. It is now 6 months since his op and we are back riding properly ( if I ever rode properly that is) Physio says he is in better shape than some of her 'normal' clients.

Hello you!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE reading the charlie updates out the facebook page :) Charlie is a testimont to how amazing the surgery is and how a careful rehab is the way forward

Your good news story made me cry.... our lovely boy, Mole, is 6 weeks post surgery for KS. Difficult decision to have the op as he was so badly behaved prior to the point of being dangerous. We pessoa'ed for first time on Saturday and he is a different horse. His paces are back, he is much calmer and altough its still early days its great to see. Prior to his op all I could find was bad news stories....good luck with Mr Moose and thank you for sharing your good news.

Hi Guys

So glad your horse is doing well, he looks great!

My horse is 6 months post op and I am back riding, although he had the new technique which is less invasive. Good news all round!! x

What an amazing story, thank you for sharing :)
He's really gorgeous :) and he is a lucky boy to have the best Mum in the world to give him such good care & treatment.

This is an inspirational story, I'm will help lots of people considering the op for their own horses. It's great to hear of the successful outcome, and even better to see photos of post-surgery and how he's doing now. It's hard to believe it's just 18 weeks since the op.

Good luck with him, you must be so excited to have a lesson booked after all the heartache and worry you've no doubt been through!

I am soooo pleased that your horse is getting on well. Just remember time is key. Moose's major issue (there are many) was mounting he used to rear spin around and kick me off the mounting block- he got me once square in the back which was not cool......it took a little while for him to realise that it did not hurt any more...touch wood i have now ridden him and twice he has not moved a muscle from the block which he has never done, all small steps but massive in our world!!!! We went treadmilling again last night and next week my friend who is a pro potographer is coming to take pictures of him next week :) :)
I have a facebook page horses with kissing spine, anyone is welcome to join lots of fab people on there with fab stories and some horses that are out competing again, some just having surgery and some at Moose's stage xxx

Hi Everyone just another Mr Moo update!! We had our first lesson in 6 months (opp was the 27th of November) last night he was fab!!! The only downside is that i think i am going to get his hocks injected as he seems stiff (we knew there was this issue, but wanted to know what would happen with work) when we start and he is under a lot of pressure now with the height of the water in the treadmill and with the trot work. I feel to give him the best chance over all this is the best thing to do for him so waiting for the vet to call me back. Anyhoo here is a small clip of him trotting around!!
