MRI machines in SouthWest?

Hello everyone

does anybody know if there is an MRI facility any further south than Newbury please? I am in Devon & need to know where the closest one is.

Also is it possible just to have a hoof/leg scanned as a friend of mine has been quoted £1,500 so I'm guessing that is a full body scan. He only needs a foot done & would like to keep the cost as low as possible.

Any info much appreciated.

Liphook Equine Hospital has an MRI scanner. My friend is a MRI radiographer there. Hope this is nearer for you. Perhaps you could stay overnight to break up the journey?

Not sure, but try penbode, (penhale equine clinic) they seem to offer a lot it may be a question of rining up practices and seeing. Mullacott also seem to be quite well equiped and I've heard good things about both practices.

Looks like Newbury is the closest for you. Unfortunately I am sure that the £1,500 quote that you have been will have been to scan foot/ lower limb only anyway.
