Some may remember our schnauzer who had to have a digit amputated and it was found to be cancer but we thought it was ok all margins clear.Well unfortunately a different foot is now showing the same problems. It has been swabbed and cultures taken and it is showing to have MRSA present along with two other bacterial infections. The problem is the MRSA is very antibiotic resistant. Has anyone any experience with this type of infection? He was supposed to be operated on tomorrow but that has to be postponed because of the infection . Instead he is starting a course of the only available anti biotic.
