I think my horse is starting to develop arthritis in one of her legs. So has anyone tried this supplement and did it work. I trying to find something that cheap and not going to be super expensive.

I did a lot of looking into this recently and basically, there isn't much good evidence. However - MSM is very cheap (I pay about £50 for a year's supply from Aviform) - so I'm feeding it on the basis that it can only help and I can't afford any of the mega-expensive supplement, even if they do have magical effects.

I feed straight MSM (from Forage Plus, other brands are available!)

I think it helps my PSSM horse with her muscles but I haven't seen any great effect on arthritis - but its cheap

I buy pure from Aviform also. If they are doing a 3 for 2 offer it’s super cheap

Tumeric isn’t too expensive and is good. Also don’t know how much glucosamine is but that’s very good. Linseed too I think (very cheap!).

I feed msm to both of my horses one has arthritis and previous soft tissue injuries, the other has had soft tissue injuries, since feeding they haven't 're injured anything so perhaps it helps, I also feed boswellia to the arthritic one and I think that definitely makes a difference to his stiffness and looks better since being on it, boswellia is from wormers direct and the msm is off eBay it's human grade and is just under £10 for 1kg.

where do you buy this from?

would you say the aviform msm of the naf msm/gloucosamine if better value?

I don't bother with feeding glucosamine there is no reall proof it actually does anything, i dont rate many of the naf products they normally contain fillers so you dont get a pure substance and end up having to feed more, aviform is good value for money but I just get mine from eBay the company is pyschoprotein outlet I normally buy 2kg at a time, if you search msm 1kg they should come up they are one of the cheapest it's a white bag with green wording.
